Adivina Que Esta Creciendo Dentro de Este Huevo is a cute yet informational book about animals that hatch from eggs. The book gives hints to a certain animal and on the next page reveals the identity of that animal.

After showing the animal the egg belongs to the text then gives extra information on the growth of all these babies to adults. What I love about this book is that you can read it to older and younger students.  If you are teaching beginners or younger students then just reading the page with the clues and then "the reveal" is enough. For more advanced students you can read the extra information about each animal.

The text with extra information is well put together and interesting. For example, when you read about the octopus you find out that when they are born they are the size of a grain of rice.  The book covers the following animals: penguins, alligators, ducks, marine turtles, octopus, and spiders. At the end of the book there is a diagram of a duck egg all labeled in Spanish.

This would be a great book to use to introduce a unit on animals or eggs. It is also great for increasing a student's vocabulary surrounding animals.  I have enjoyed using this book with my students!
